In the fall of 2006 Christine Beito sold the family home in Bellevue, Washington. Her three daughters had left for college leaving behind them a hole in her life that she had trouble filling. She tried to fill the void in the form of 200 lbs of labrador retrievers named Rueben and Emma,
but that didn’t provide all that she was looking for. So she moved to Walla Walla, Washington in pursuit of a vision. This vision was in the form of a grand home that had been neglected, and while fundamentally sound, it teetered on the edge of salvage or destruction.
The property had two cottages that were unusually well-appointed. Christine’s vision was to build her dream house in the form of a restored Federal Colonial mansion, and share the estate with guests staying in the cottages.
The result has been a wine-based version of “Green Acres” with situations and characters she could never have predicted. Two cats followed the dogs.
She found a life style that was different from anything she had known before, and she would like to share some of it with you. You can have a brief visit to our estate and see the cottages by viewing the video link below.
